Born in 1878, the forty-first year of the reign of King Victoria, and died aged eighty-four in the eleventh year of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II

Later years


Four years after divorcing Mary Vaughan, Hugh married Mary H M Long in 1933.

It is speculated that this statue of Eve made by Eric Gill in 1928 and bequeathed in 1963 to the Tate Museum, was owned by (this) Hugh Rawlinson.
